Opened “Akane Junior Class” and started teaching ikebana to children from 3 to 15 years old. Created a pyramid of light for the exhibition "Form of Light" at the Sony Plaza in Ginza. Became Vice President of Sogetsu Foundation. Produced the Expanse of Light at AMMNAT Square in the "Town Created by Woman" for the opening ceremony of the World Design Exposition. Exhibited her works at "The World of Sogetsu: Decorating the Sculpture Forest" at the Hakone Open-Air Museum.

Created an installation at the showroom of Mitsubishi Motor Corp. in Shizuoka. Decorated a Georgio Armani boutique in Tokyo. Created an installation for the campaign of Mitsubishi Motor's ETERNA at the Key West Club in Harajuku. Directed the stage composition for the Ewa Poblocka Chopin Recital (Quest Hall, Harajuku, Tokyo).

Worked in the Public Relations Department of Sogetsu Foundation.

Graduated from Training College of Childhood Education of Kokugakuin University, and worked as a kindergarten teacher for four years.

Born in Tokyo as the second daughter of Hiroshi Teshigahara. Learned ikebana from her aunt Kasumi Teshigahara, the second Iemoto, since her early childhood.
