90th Anniversary The 99th Sogetsu Annual Exhibition, "Hana So"

The 99th Sogetsu Annual Exhibition for our 90th Anniversary, “Hana So” will be held at the Nihombashi Takashimaya Department Store.
This title links to the Solo Exhibition by Iemoto Akane this April.
Through the creation with flowers, we would like to convey various feelings.
In addition, we will implement three special projects for our 90th anniversary celebration.
We do hope that you really enjoy the unique arrangement of Iemoto Akane and 730 participants who are representing the current Sogetsu School.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the exhibition site.

           1st Term: 25th (Wed.) - 26th (Thu.)
           2nd Term: 27th (Fri.) - 28th (Sat.)
           3rd Term: 29th (Sun.) - 30th (Mon.) 
Time : 10:30am – 7:30pm
           (Closing at 6:00pm on 26th, 28th, and 30th)

Admission: 1000 JPY (Tax included)

“Arranging with Vases made by Akane Teshigahara”
In this section, the exhibitors will arrange flowers using 24 containers that Iemoto Akane has created over these 20 years at the Sogetsu Ceramic Kiln in Fukui prefecture.

‘Ikebana which fits the modern society’ is our foundation spirit, and this is also our endless challenge. This time, we will pursue the significance of ikebana in the world of internet which is paramount in the diverse modern society.

“Art, Ikebana, Next Generation” 
The second project for the ‘Ikebana which fits the modern society’ is the display connecting younger generations and ikebana through art, directed by the contemporary artist Mr. Shinji Morino. In the exhibition, installations by the future generation will be expanded.
