An exciting two days of Ikebana were enjoyed by the Wellington Branch on March 20-21, 2009. Mr. Yoshiro Umemura (who lives in Sydney) visited Wellington following his very successful demonstrations at the Ellerslie Flower Show in Christchurch. His classes "Composition of Surfaces using Leaves" and "Composition using Two Containers" were both well attended. Mr. Umemura then created 11 arrangements at a public demonstration. Those attending were very enthusiastic and stimulated by his exciting creations.
