Sogetsu Post Convention 2011 starts from May 5, the founding date of the Sogetsu School, of the commemorative year of Iemoto Akane's 10th year in succession. At the Sogetsu Kaikan surrounded by fresh green leaves of May, we hope you enjoy this fun learning opportunity. We recommend you to take advantage of the Sogetsu Friendly Package. The registration for each class will be closed once it reaches its maximum enrollment. We are all looking forward to your participation!


Program Contents
We will develop the best points from the last convention and, also, include the unique contents that you can experience because you are in Japan. We have various programs such as the Special Seminar by the Iemoto and the three Master Instructors, the Iemoto's 10th Year Celebration Dinner, Workshops by the Iemoto and the Master Instructors, and newly introduced Craft Workshops in which the participants can create their own art objects to take home. In addition, Good Supporters Class will be established for families and friends who are coming with Sogetsu ikebanists.

Registration Starts on June 1, 2010!
Registration Forms will be accepted from June 1, 2010. Please complete the Registration Form enclosed with the So Newsletter, vol. 201, and send it with your payment by airmail or FAX to Overseas Affairs Department, Sogetsu Foundation. If you are not a member of the Sogetsu Teachers' Association but would like to attend the Post Convention, please ask your teacher or contact us by E-mail or FAX.
To attend the programs at the STA member's rate, payment of the membership fees for 2010 and 2011 is required. The payment for 2010 must be completed before registration for the programs. If you hold a teacher's diploma and would like to join or renew your membership in the Sogetsu Teachers Association, please contact the Services for Membership Department. Registration Forms arrived before June 1, 2010 (Japan Standard Time) will be put on the waiting list and will not be processed until after we complete processing all the Forms arrived on June 1.

We are genuinely delighted to receive so many registrations from overseas members all around the world. All workshops are fully booked and we are sorry that there is no waiting list for any of the Sogetsu Post Convention 2011 program events. There are some seats left in the Sogetsu Post Convention Special Seminar: "Sogetsu Today" and the Celebration Dinner. Seats are limited so please send us your Registration Form now!

WORKSHOPS NB: We have been receiving many inquires from applicants about participating in the workshops as requested on their registration forms. Kindly do not send us such inquires which cannot be replied to until the due time. We understand that you would like to know as soon as possible in order to arrange your travel schedule. However, we will contact all the applicants only after Early Registration closes on September 30, 2010. We ask you to wait until then. The fees will not be charged until after your registration is confirmed. If we find any problems with your Registration Form, we will contact you.
