"Introduction of Akane Junior Class"
Akane Junior Class was started in April, 1989 by Akane Teshigahara, the present Fourth Iemoto, to learn and experience the fun of creating something by using and being familiar with plants. The class was started with 8 students, and now there are about 80 students when we commemorate the 20th anniversary. The students are 3 to 18 years old from various countries and they enjoy learning ikebana. Our concept of this class is to teach ikebana to let them express themselves in their words and works through ikebana.
