The Sogetsu Excellence Award, newly established last year, symbolizes a new era for Sogetsu with its open application process and public showcase on Instagram. We look forward to receiving your submissions again this year.

The Sogetsu Excellence Award is a recognition that honors the efforts and achievements of individuals and groups in their Sogetsu Ikebana activities. Multiple recipients of the Sogetsu Excellence Award will be selected by the Iemoto from among the entries. Among these, one will be chosen for Sogetsu Excellence Award of the Year, which will be presented during the “Flower Thanks Day” ceremony in March 2025. All submitted entries will be featured on Instagram as part of the Sogetsu Excellence Award activities.

Events or works, such as exhibitions or other activities, carried out by individuals or groups between January 1, 2025, and December 25, 2025 are eligible for entry. (Note: Activities of Branches and Study Groups are not eligible.)

1.Download the Entry Form: Please click here. and fill out the entry form. The information you provide will be posted in the comments section on Instagram. For reference, take a look at previous posts on Instagram. （The maximum number of characters allowed is 1,900.）

3.Submit Your Application: Send the completed entry form and media files via email to the General Affairs Department at contact@sogetsu.or.jp.

• First Submission Deadline: August 31, 2025, (Sun) by 13:00 → First Round of Selection
• Second Submission Deadline: November 30, 2025 , (Sun) by 13:00→ Second Round of Selection
• Third Submission Deadline: December 26, 2025, (Fri) by 10:00 AM. → Third Round of Selection
• Results Announcement: February 2026 (on the official Instagram, and other official sites.).
