The Sogetsu School Osaka, which had been initiated by the former Iemoto Hiroshi in 1982 and has been beloved by many Sogetsu ikebanists for nearly 40 years, reborn as “Sogetsu WEST” on the first floor of the Hotel Emion KYOTO.

Sogetsu WEST will deliver the joy of ikebana, such that you have never experienced before, as a future-oriented place to learn Sogetsu Ikebana, without being restricted by conventional ideas, whilst respecting the heritage cultivated through the history of the Sogetsu School Osaka.

The Sogetsu School offers ikebana trial lessons where you can turn up to try empty-handed.
Anyone who wants to improve themselves—from those who just want to touch flowers to those who are interested in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana—can experience the joy of arranging flowers here.

A new space, which will be reborn as a place to share information on Sogetsu with the world, in addition to hold various ikebana classes, attracts great attention.

The area around Umekoji-Kyotonishi Station on the JR Sanin Line (Sagano Line) for 2 km to the west from Kyoto Station is currently a very hot location where redevelopment has been progressed by the City of Kyoto.
