Ikebanist : Ken Katayama

Ken Katayama(Master Instructor of Sogetsu HQ)
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the death of the former Iemoto, Teshigahara Hiroshi.
Time flies.
I used two of Iemoto Hiroshi's vases for my works which are displayed in the Japanese room this time. With his large Oribe pot, I made a framework using the Japanese apricot with moss and combined with a collection of lines of Japanese cornel and a mass of camellias. I arranged with my hope that you can feel the arrival of spring earlier than others.

*For previously displayed works, please visit the Japanese Room Gallery.
