The lily-of-the-valley bush in glossy green and the Thunberg spirea with its gentle foliage are now in season.
I expressed the contrast between the strength of the combined lily-of-the-valley bush and the soft lines of the Thunberg spirea, and then added colored leaves of Vaccinium oldhamii at the base for gradation.
Although this work uses only branches, without using beautifully colored flowers, the subtle differences in the colors of the leaves are fascinating.
