Ikebanist : Suisho Higuchi

Suisho Higuchi(Master Instructor of Sogetsu HQ)
A heavy snow warning was issued on the day of ikekomi (arranging) of this work. The delivered flowering tree was a Magnolia heptapeta. The chosen vase was a white container which was created by the ceramicist Yasuhara Kimei. So, I decided to choose "white" as the theme for today's arrangement. When the small reddish-brown flowers and green leaves of Viburnum tinus were illuminated, they unexpectedly emphasized the "white" color. I would be happy if you were able to get a sense of the lightness of this work as if snowflakes danced in the air while Magnolia heptapeta bloomed.
