Ikebanist : Suisen Takagi

Suisen Takagi(Master Instructor of Sogetsu HQ)
After reveling in the vibrant colors of the flowers and the trees, we now embrace the season of lush, fresh greenery.
With a desire to use something green as a theme, I selected the newly sprouted enkianthus perulatus as the centerpiece, eagerly anticipating the delightful bloom of the yellow flowers from the Japanese jasmine. I arranged them in a spacious manner, also carefully considering the assembly of the wood.
Honoring the presence of the spontaneous vase crafted by Iemoto Hiroshi, I adorned the rim with green leaves and beautiful blue larkspur, ensuring the water’s surface is visible.
