In the Japanese room on the fifth floor of the Sogetsu Kaikan, seasonal ikebana works are constantly on display for public view.

On top of a large bowl crafted by Iemoto Hiroshi, I placed a single green bamboo pole and arranged split bamboo and Japanese bittersweet to create a spacious setting.
I then added pincushion flowers and Japanese fatsia to tighten the base, expressing the fresh atmosphere of early autumn.
