Ikebanist : Ken Katayama

Ken Katayama( Master Instructor of the Sogetsu Headquarters)
I used date plum, one of the most iconic autumn materials and the smallest Japanese persimmon variety. Its straight, dignified branches harmonize beautifully with the supple curves of Morus alba ‘Pendula’, creating a captivating rhythm and joy in the interplay of lines.
At the base, the addition of hills-of-snow and lily-of-the-valley bush introduces some mass, enhancing the composition's resonance between lines and mass. Experience the true essence of Japanese autumn through this exquisite arrangement, elegantly enhanced by the painting of Mount Fuji, created by first Iemoto, Sofu.
