Five Sogetsu teachers and their families, in collaboration with members of the Association of Ikebana Brazil, created a 35 meter long taisaku for the 2021 Hanami Cherry Blossom Drive-Through.
The project, designed by architect and São Paulo Branch member Kiyoshi Yamaguchi, used 200 bamboos, numerous sakura branches and took 3 days and 25 volunteers to execute.
This was the largest open-air ikebabana ever made in São Paulo.
