In 2000 and 2021 San Francisco Bay Area Branch created a series of a special Ikebana videos as a Online Branch Project.
For the year 2021, five teachers, namely Joan Yusui Suzuki, Yoshiko Hogetsu Williams, Jane Suiei Naito, Katsuko Biko Thielke, and Ron Kodo Brown, worked together their students and created Year End Holiday arrangements with minimal guidelines.
The videos show their creative process from the start, how they pick up materials, how they work together and completed a work. The arrangements were a stunning variety, all uniquely theirs and demonstrated each Teacher’s own personal teaching style.
