We had an amazing monthly program in November, inviting Ms. Urana Kuular from Moscow to give a demonstration and to conduct a workshop.
Ms. Diana Alipova, wife of the Ambassador of Russia to India, was the Chief Guest and gave the opening  speech .
She very kindly gave the closing remarks also. Mr. Koji Sato , Director of the Japan Foundation, expressed his thoughts and said that Ikebana was a good medium to bring cultures together.

Ms.Kuular made 10 arrangements during the demonstration showing the different aspects of Ikebana.
She used  the members vases and the local greens and flowers, which was a good learning experience for everybody.
We had about 100 members and guests who attended the demonstration and about 30 members for the workshop the next day.

For the Workshop, Ms. Kuular made 3 Ikebana showing how to combine fresh material with unconventional material.
The members brought some of the unconventional material themselves in addition to some aluminum foil which Ms. Kuular provided and painted chicken mesh which the Sogetsu School offered.

It was a very interesting and innovative morning.
