In conjunction with the 107th Sogetsu Annual Exhibition in Nihombashi Takashimaya, we will be offering a special workshop for overseas Sogetsu members.

Teshigahara Sofu’s Kadensho embodies the quintessence of Sogetsu, a creative philosophy that captures the essence of ikebana.
All is in the seeing-always keep looking. There will be times when you realize that there are more possibilities in ikebana than you thought.
When you have an idea, you must immediately try to set it or make a sketch of your concept. Drawing with pencil or paper is a kind of ikebana as well. Sketching allows you to record and retain your ideas.(Excerpt from Kadensho.)
Workshop Instructor: Koei Sawada
Enrolled in Sogetsu in 1979. Currently serving as an instructor of lemoto Class at the Sogetsu HQ and Sogetsu West. While teaching ikebana at companies, schools and nursing homes, in addition to her own classes, she works on disseminating ikebana overseas, such as by visiting China and Brazil as a Master Instructor of the Sogetsu Headquarters.

『花伝書』とは、 いけばなとは何か、その本質をとらえた創造の哲学、草月の真髄を記した、勅使河原蒼風による書です。
やっぱり見るということである。何でも見る。そうすると、おや、これは花になるなという具合に、何かつかまえられるときがある。それをさっそく実際にいけてみる。あるいは描いてみるのもよい。つまり、鉛筆と紙でいけてみるわけだ。浮かんだ着想を逃さないために、描くという作業もまた大切である。（花伝書より、一部抜粋）
ワークショップ担当講師: 澤田晃映
1979年草月に入門。現在、本部・草月WESTにて家元教室などの講師を担当。企業、学校、老人ホームや自身の教室で生け花を教える。そのかたわら、中国やブラジルなどに派遣され、海外でもいけばな普及に努める。2017年まで草月会東京南支部長を務めた。
