Teshigahara Akane Arranging flowers at the French Ambassador’s residence

In July 2024, Iemoto Akane’s painting was acquired by the French Embassy in Tokyo’s Minami-Azabu district, where a presentation ceremony was held. The embassy is located on the site of the former Edo residence of the Owari Tokugawa family, covering an expansive area of approximately 24,000 square meters. The Iemoto visited the ambassador’s residence again, situated at the far north end of the grounds, and while there, she created summer ikebana arrangements in the lush garden and welcoming space for guests.

The 12th AT Award Exhibition

The “AT Award” was established in 2002 to commemorate Akane Teshigahara as she assumed the Iemoto position and aptly named after her initials. The winners of this award are chosen by Iemoto Akane from the finalists practicing Sogetsu Ikebana at the Teachers’ Workshops in Tokyo or Sogetsu WEST. You can enjoy all the works of the 12th AT Award Exhibition held at the Sogetsu Plaza in March of this year 2025.
