Ikebanist : Misei Ishikawa

Misei Ishikawa( Master Instructor of the Sogetsu Headquarters)
I arranged white branches to take up the space and some Ilex aquifolium to emphasize the awareness of Christmas.
I heard the Ilex aquifolium, also known as European holly, is used both in Japan and in Western countries to ward off evil because of the thorns on the edge of its glossy, evergreen leaves.
I sincerely hope for bright and fulfilling days ahead.

*For previously displayed works, please visit the Japanese Room Gallery.
