Ikebanist : Norika Nitta

Norika Nitta(Master Instructor of Sogetsu HQ)
At the time that we felt the arrival of autumn around the "Chouyou no Sekku" or Chrysanthemum Festival on September 9th, I encountered two kinds of fruiting plants with rich personalities.
It was a great joy to be able to create my ikebana work sensing the works of successive Iemotos in the solemn space of the Japanese Room.
I generously intertwined the floating driftwood with the bouncy branching bead tree, and then composed the work by bringing together the European cranberrybush in red gradation.
I let my mind wander through the passage of time and the changing of seasons.
