Ikebanist : Suisen Takagi

Suisen Takagi(Master Instructor of Sogetsu HQ)
I approached this opportunity to arrange my ikebana in the prestigious Japanese Room of the Sogetsu Kaikan with great joy and nerve-wracking tension.
I selected a large Suiban crafted by Iemoto Hiroshi and first used Japanese podopcarp to create the framework, while also being mindful of the movement of the bower actinidia. After that, I draped Japanese bittersweet over it and added some pampas grass to the water, finishing it off with a spirit of hospitality for visitors to this building.

*For previously displayed works, please visit the Japanese Room Gallery.
