I composed this arrangement as if to speak to the painting on the wall, Kareki to Fuji (a withered tree & Mt. Fuji), while making use of the magnificent branching of Japanese podocarp. I also added European holly to the rim of Mr. Yutaka Nakamura's vase, creating a stunning atmosphere. I hope you enjoy the beautiful contrast between the green gradation of the Japanese podocarp and the evergreen Japanese spindle, and the red berries of the European holly.
