Ikebanist : Sairin Mori

Sairin Mori(Master Instructor of Sogetsu HQ)
I arranged peach before Joshi no Sekku, a day to celebrate girls in Japan, also called Momo no Sekku (Peach Festival) or Hinamatsuri (Dolls' Festival) on March 3rd.
Pink and white peaches were separated on the left and right, while a piece of driftwood was placed upright in the center to wish for the growth of children and to pray for protection from bad luck.
Please visit the Japanese Room to see my arrangement displayed together with Hina Dolls from the Sogetsu collection.

*For previously displayed works, please visit the Japanese Room Gallery.
