The special exhibition celebrating the Iemoto Akane Teshigahara’s 20th anniversary  kicks off at two locations: at Sogetsu Kaikan and in Kansai at Sogetsu West!
The special exhibition “Space of Creation 2021” is held simultaneously in Tokyo and Kyoto, at Sogetsu Plaza and Sogetsu WEST gallery respectively.
The works will be displayed in the form of a series, only several pieces of work at one time to reduce the risk of further spreading the COVID-19 infection.
It is a new way of holding an exhibition and we post the photos of each arrangement on our website to share with all people who  love  art and flowers.
Please join us actually or virtually  to celebrate Iemoto Akane’s 20th anniversary!

[Notice of Partial Postponement]
In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we have decided to postpone some of the meeting dates. The meeting will be held on the dates indicated in red letters. Please be careful when you go out. We hope that everyone will take good care of themselves during this season.

Note: The exhibition will be held intermittently, not run continuously, at both venues. Please check the schedule before visiting.

Message from Iemoto Akane Teshigahara

This year, which marks my 20th anniversary as the Iemoto, we will hold an exhibition titled “Space of Creation 2021” simultaneously at both the Sogetsu Kaikan and Sogetsu WEST, the east and west bases of the Sogetsu School.
We have designed this exhibition, hoping that you will not give up on your creative activities and continue to take on new challenges at this time of restrictions on various activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I fully expect you to create works that could be called the starting point of Sogetsu, face the space, attempt, blend, and respond all while considering the environment in which we live with the coronavirus.
I sincerely hope that this exhibition will be a place to celebrate the joy of creation.
