Ikebanists from Sogetsu Branch Nederland will exhibit their ikebana artworks from September 8 to 10, 2023 at Ateliers Baztille Zoetermeer.
Ateliers Baztille is an artists’ collective that aims to facilitate artists with workspaces and the opportunity to exhibit their work.
Both indoor and outdoor ikebana arrangements are on display, made with natural and unnatural materials, with the theme of ‘Nazomeren’ evident in the work.
Sogetsu ikebana offers many possibilities for individual design. Originality and creativity but also harmony between the various materials, simplicity, asymmetry are part of the arrangements.
Visitors may get a complete impression of Sogetsu Ikebana.
Members of the Branch will give demonstrations of ikebana techniques.
The Japanese ambassador in Netherland Mr. Hiroshi MINAMI perform the opening on Friday September 8th.There will be a performance of Pianist and composer Mr. Aseo Friesacher and vocalist Ms. Waka Otsu. Pieces composed by Mr. Aseo are jazz inspired by Japanese music.
