Annual Flower Show in Karachi Pakistan

The Horticulture Society of Pakistan annually hosts a Flower Show in Karachi at A.K.Khan Park at Sea View. This year, the event took place from Thursday, February 22nd to Sunday, February 25th, 2024.

Two study groups, the Karachi Sogetsu Study Group and the Indus Sogetsu Study Group, joined hands with Ikebana International to showcase a captivating array of Japanese-style flower arrangements at the 73rd Annual Flower Show. The theme for this year’s exhibition was “Blessings of Nature.”

Members crafted their arrangements in accordance with the theme, utilizing entirely natural materials such as bamboo, branches, stones, spathe, and tree logs. Approximately 18 members from the Sogetsu group and around 22 members from Ikebana International contributed their arrangements.

The event attracted a large crowd from all walks of life, including people of all ages. Children, in particular, displayed a keen interest in learning and creating this art form.

Every arrangement received positive appreciation from the attendees, who thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of Japanese artistry.

The stall presented by the Karachi Sogetsu Study Group was a highlight of the Flower Show.
