Sogetsu New Delhi Branch presented a demonstration under the aegis of the ‘The Japan Month’.
They had invited Ms. Misei Ishikawa, Master Instructor of the Sogetsu School, Tokyo, and she gave an amazing demonstration.
She explored the art of ikebana, that celebrates the beauty of nature and the changing seasons. As autumn unfolds, she showed how to delve into the serene elegance and subtle nuances of this season.
Each composition reflected the gentle whispers of autumn, highlighting the harmony and tranquility that defines this time of the year. She explained the seasonal transition and the art of creating balance and beauty with nature’s gifts.
Mr. Nakada from the Embassy of Japan and Mr. Koji Sato, Director of the Japan Foundation, were our vey honored guests. We had a number of spouses of Heads of Missions here and other dignitaries.
Mr. Koji Sato gave a short speech after the demonstration.
They had over 120 members and guests who all enjoyed the program.
She also had a workshop which was a showcase of innovative techniques for highlighting leaf surfaces and embellishing leaves with various materials. Her expert guidance provided 25 participants with valuable insights and practical experience.
