On 15 May 2026, the Sogetsu School New Delhi Branch successfully held an Ikebana exhibition at the prestigious Hotel Maurya and Towers.

The exhibition featured more than 40 Ikebana arrangements created by teachers, students, and members of the school. The works were composed mainly of locally available materials, highlighting a highly creative and innovative approach that reflected the Sogetsu philosophy of freedom of expression and harmony with nature.

The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished guests and cultural representatives. Mr Koji Sato, Director of the Japan Foundation, attended as Chief Guest. He delivered a short address and formally inaugurated the exhibition by floating a flower into a pre-arranged Ikebana installation. Following the ceremony, Mr Sato toured the exhibition and interacted with members and guests during a reception.

Ms Seema Kohli, a renowned artist, also attended the exhibition later in the day, viewing the arrangements and engaging with participants.

Throughout the event, there was a steady flow of visitors who appreciated the diverse and expressive Ikebana works on display. Many teachers, students, and members remained at the venue throughout the day, creating an opportunity for meaningful exchange and strengthening community bonds among participants.

The exhibition served as an important platform for cultural exchange and artistic development, offering both participants and visitors a valuable opportunity to experience contemporary Ikebana practice.

The Sogetsu School New Delhi Branch extends its sincere gratitude to all guests, participants, and supporters who contributed to the success of this event.
